Remastered GH3 Disc

I can't believe that it actually came! My Guitar Hero 3 replacement disc came in the mail late last week.

Even though I do not have a surround system to take full advantage of the remastered disc, I do believe I hear  a richer sound when playing. Of course it could just be me and it's all in my head.

Well at least I got a free guitar faceplate out of the whole thing.

Redoctane thank you letter

The bad news:

Fedex had a package from me but had the wrong address so I haD to pick it up at the depot. It was from Redoctane  but it was not my Guitar Hero 3 replacement disc that they say I should have ALREADY received?!?

The good news:

It was the thank you gift for sending in my Guitar Hero 3 disc to be replaced, that I have not already received. It's already on my guitar waiting for the game to show up.

I've contacted Activision support, but with it being the weekend I'm obviously not expecting a speedy response. I've waited this long what's a little longer right?

I know I was less than positive about the forthcoming Aerosmith Guitar Hero, but if it was out now I'd totally pick it up to start playing again.

Now if you excuse me I'm going to play some air guitar on my fake guitar.

I posted this on Yelp, but I'm adding it here too for maximum exposure.

Maybe you've heard me mention it once or twice (or a hundred) times, but I love Guitar Hero and I love me some bacon.  Both things are signs of a benevolent supreme being, if you ask me.

Imagine my happiness when it turns out that Lucky's (near Minute Maid Ballpark) has not only Guitar Hero (and Rock Band, which I've been dying to check out) but also Bacon Wrapped Bacon, Italian pancetta wrapped in Canadian bacon wrapped in American hickory smoked bacon with a maple butter sauce.  Sounds tasty, huh?

I've heard lots of good things about Lucky's, so let's go and eat some bacon (the rest of their menu looks good too, so I'll be trying more than just bacon) and rock out with Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Be sure to come out and unlock your inner rockstar!

I just finished the game last night.  Truly one of the better first person shooters that I've played.  They do a great job creating the environment and immersing you in it.  I still plan to go back and collect a few of the achievements I missed and I might also change some of my actions to see the alternative ending. 

I hope that the sequel allows for online or co-op play, as they would definitely extend the playability of the game.
